don’t mean to discriminate against our Northern oppos but it’s fair to say that many of us got our first snow last night and yesterday so I wanted to celebrate with a place for us to post up our pics. Also can I get your preference on first pic or se cond pic? I’m trying to take more aesthetically pleasing photos with my iPotato

We had our first snow in NH yesterday into today. I’m batting .500 for snow tires on our cars, but at least the one I got them on was the FWD car. I made it around ok in our Volvo with awd but will have the snows on soon. Not tonight, as it’s supposed to be a low of around 10F and very windy.

Se cond pic.
We got a foot for our first snow yesterday and as a bonus, tonight we get the lowest November night in 50 years.

Thanks, that was my thought as well as it followed the “ photography rules” more closely.

No snow around Philadelphia yet, although the forecast calls for a little dusting today and it’ll drop down to 18
°F overnight
. We won’t get any real precipitation until probably next week, when it’ll likely be too warm for snow.
The second pic looks better, as it places the car on
the rule of thirds’
bottom right grid node and uses the road to guide the eyes towards it.

These were taken November first. The first one was before sun rise, then the second one after work, when I was moving the cars to plow the yard

The upholstery shop was finishing up my car’s heated seat install today, so I borrowed my grandma’s SRX to drive to work. We only got an inch or two of snow but it’s cold AF. The wind chill is 10° or so. That’s cold for Kentucky.

It’s supposed to be 3 degrees colder at home tomorrow. Sounds like winter to me at 80F. I’m in Amsterdam right now though so upper 30s and rain definitely feels like extreme winter to me! Looking forward to more trips this winter though for things like this :

And it's a bye week so traffic won't even be a mess. You've got your timing down perfect

This is the best time of year to fly if the weather is okay, planes are not even full. Summer going through seatac was horrible.

If you get the chance try the new Paine Field airport a little ways north of SeaTac. I never realized a domestic airport could be... Dare I say it... Enjoyable
